Ramp Trucks...worthless?

Lining yourself up for these things is so damn hard, if they're not on a straight-away forget it.

Anyone made good use of them consistently?

Yeah, I used the ramp truck to jump over a traffic mess that ended up saving me because I had one crash left before I had to repair ^^;;

I use them once in a while, (twice by accident xD)

but I generally try to avoid them unless im really far ahead and the traffic is low, cuz to get them without crashing is a big risk, u crash and ur screwed

It's always a judgment call for me. If I know I'm going to have to compete for it, then I let the other guy take it. The chances that he'll stuff it is high alone, let alone the fact that you have to risk it too.

I generally try to avoid these unless i'm near the end of the pack and theres low traffic...these things have lost me too many races trying line up for them <_<

Ugh. I used to go for them a lot but they hurt me a lot more often then they have helped. So I just usually avoid them at all times now!

I only use these when I'm 100% positive that I'm perfectly lined up with them. Otherwise, I will avoid them at all costs.

Go into first person and it becomes much easier to use the ramp trucks.

i like this ramp trucks, they have helped me gain ks a few times.. but i dun like using them in corners, the chances of crashing are too high

Never, I am usually to far ahead to worry about another boost. Hell sometimes I will save my boost for the whole race and never use it. Just a little pointer, don't use your boost if you don't have to, you may just set yourself up for failure.

The ramp trucks aren't that bad. I use them all the time when I'm driving in my MMT1. But in the Battle Zone with my Nova, I avoid them, unless there's a massive civilian car roadblock due to some crash.

I don't even bother. I try to avoid them. Cause it's a hit or miss with them and I'm out of luck.

I used to take them all the time but since I got my Above V5, I've been avoiding them. If I do try and take the ramp trucks, I'll usually get two full boosts while still on the ramp.

They should make the ramp trucks similar to those stationary ramps, so that you can still get onto them with half your car. Also ramp trucks should be on the right side of the road because I usually see them on the left and they go in the direction opposite to you.

I find that switching to cockpit view helps to line up when approaching a ramp truck, but they are still bloody annoying.

I remember one time I drove up a ramp truck and I landed on another one and bounced off it. Double-jump FTW!

If you take damage from the ramp trucks it means you're not hitting them properly... :grrr:

Personally I avoid them unless I'm near the back of the pack as the damage taken is less. There's a bit of a bug where if you don't hit them perfectly they stop you dead. I've lost too many races thanks to that...

I use them only during patrolling, you don't lose a place, you don't get any damage either =)

Eeew, if you go up the ramp trucks, and hit the side, your durability meter will go down <.<, but maybe the boost makes up for that @.@

I use them in races for that extra edge... It is a win or lose situation. If you don't get the ramp, you will lose the race, but if you hit the truck you lose the race... Hard choice... Just go for it. XD

I use them all the time.I can easily line my self up with a ramp truck, even when they seem to be completely **************** eyed I believe they are not useless!!! They are however in fact more of a challenge.

Wish I capped one of my races from yesterday.chances are noone will believe me but meh :p Was having a hard time way down the field.Was quiet close to the pack though, mass pile up as I got a hyper boost spun a ramp truck, I couldn't stop in time and by TOTAL fluke hit the ramp perfect and cleared the carnage.Still lost but what the hell it was one of those ZOMG moments i'll never forget :lolz:

i guess you could call ramp trucks as wild cards in a race, they either give you advantage, or dont.

Oh, how I hate them. They're tricky, sneaky. They creep up to turns, slow to a two-point stop, then whip around to 70°, jerk, rumble, stop, start, hit 90° and goose the throttle. They plow recklessly into other traffic, they eat soap and defecate marmalade, they make life miserable.

It's kinda fun to push them around into corners while not racing, but they disappear before you could set up a jump farm.

Very true.... Ramp trucks are pretty useless unless u cant mvoe out of the way then u have to take the ramp its liek 1/5 chances u will get it at high speed
