OK THIS MESSAGE IS GOIN OUT TO THE GM'S.

DEAR GM'S FOR DRIFT CITY BATTEL ZONE I DONT KNOW WTA U GYS DID BUT U MADE THE GAME EXTREMELY STUPID AND HOPELESS... WHY!!?

WELL IF U HAVENT NOTICED THERE REALLY IS NO SKILL IN THAT GAME BECASUE OF THE BOOST AND THE HEYPER BOOST DRIFT CITY BOOST ALL THAT STUFF MAKE THIS GAME UNFAIR...U ASK WHY AGAIN!?
WELL WATS THE POINT OF RACING WHEN U KNOW UR OPPONENTS IS GONNA WIN CASUE WELL HE GOT THE BOOST AND U DIDNT. I MEAN I UNDERSTAND THAT ITS SUPPOSE TO SOME HOW MAKE THE GAME FAIR CAUSE LETS SAY UR IN LAST PLACE SO U COULD USE THE BOOST AND IT CAN HELP U OUT, WELL U SEE MORE THAN 65% OF THE TIME THAT NEVER HAPPENS AND THE PEOPLE WHO WELL RELLY DONT NEED THE BOOST USUALLY GET IT.
MY BASIC POINT IS IF UR GONNA PUT IN ALL THOSE POWERUPS AND BOOSTS KEEP IT FAIR BY GIVING EVRYONE THE SAME BOOST SO THAT ATLEAST SOME SKILL IS INVOLVED AND THE GAME IS NOT ALL LUCK.......... PS:HOPE U GM'S REPLY AND PLZ DONT MIND THE CAPS=)

Sincerely:Gangsta

It's not luck, plain and simple. I'm getting really tired of the new trend of gamers calling everybody "luckers". If you race a good race, you won't finish last. It's as simple as that. The truly skilled players know, and can predict, when they'll probably be passed due to a boost. That doesn't mean 2nd place is horrible.

They'll fix it eventually. Until then, figure out how to beat the boosts.

Some of you others, you ever heard of that little thing called NOT WRECKING. Try it out 9 out of 10 races I win because I don't wreck. The other 1 time I lose becaue of a booster.

Luck does play a part in these races though. I don't care how good a racer you are, if someone manages to get lucky and gets DC at the last gate he's likely to pass you at the last second and you get second. I've been in races where I can't seem to get a single boost from the gates and everyone else gets HB or DC and I'm left in last. I didn't hit a wall, I didn't crash I just got out-boosted. Also had races where I'll get HB every gate and I get like a 5 second lead, is that skill?

Like it takes a skilled player to know when they'll get boosted past. You pass a gate and don't get a boost, you can probably assume the guy behind you is gonna get one. So unless you wanna A. Watch your back and try to block the booster (who can usually get around you after a second or two) or B. Use your minor boost and try to catch up, how do you make up for it? You don't. You hope the booster will crash and you can pass him. If your skills and car are equal, you don't have much of a chance.

I'm not saying these races don't take skill, and a good racer can sometimes make up for lack of boosts and still place well. But a lucky racer who can drift well will always beat someone who can just drift well. Spectate a few races and see who wins more, the good racer or the one who gets more boosts.
