well am a bit confused about ijji releasing luminary:rise of the goonzu because I played this game long time before. So first I was wondering cuz it is called goonzu: the new era and now turns to luminary: rise of the goonzu? when the gm posted the screenshots I could see its exactly the same I played already but I quit it like 1 month ago because this game is too much about taxes and stuff. Whatever you do in this game you gotta pay taxes. If you die you pay 10% of the gold you carry with you. If you put money in the bank you pay 5% BUT if you take money out of it you pay another 5% so again 10%...you buy something (5%) you try to sell something in auctions (5%) so really I dont want a game that treats me like the real life and asks for taxes wherever possible. Also buying and selling shares of towns is an important part so this game should rather be called Wallstreet: Rise of taxes and shares. Besides the RPG part of the game isnt that good either so yeah I stopped. Yeah this is kinda my personal opinion about the game so back to topic. Why does Ijji "release" a game here in octobre that has been open to all for a long time already from its original publisher? just google for global goonzu and youll find it...dont get the sense behind this

Is the game still open from where you played? If not, it can be that they wanted to "revive" the game by publishing it again, but this time on ijji. With a bit of luck, the taxes will be gone :)

IJJI is a publisher...and they base their business on money.
I'm speculating this is another business strategy.

taxes!! phew! lets see.. i'l try it first then if TrueMod is right then... its up to me now.. i'v played so many rpg's its very obvious that gold or money is the source of evrything.. you dont hav it, its like your character in game is so weak.. ypu cant invest on good armors and weapons something like that. what i'm trying to say is if theres lots of taxes how can we save gold to buy some good stuff in game?

The bets way to beat the system is not to buy or sell anything at all, or do it as a bartering system, items for items not items for gold.
As it should be in most games, a good portion of your 'good' stuff comes from drops, not from town vendors. And if some shmuck wants to sell me some rare he can maybe take a whole ************ ton of commons from me to use as resources, if not I'll boss camp like a mofo. (not)

I played a mage which was a huge mistake, seeing as mage cost too much to play, with all the mp potions and all, i got decently far but the game takes way to much grinding, It is although nice to see at least 1 mmorpg on ijji, gunbound tho is still my fave.

TrueMOD,biff10426,
I think youre both right because i too played this game like 8-9 monthes ago and its really hard to save money for equips pots and others, but all we can do is ask gm's to disable the taxes and if they reject to disable them we can accept it or we can just not play the game...
sorry for my bad english xD

If we disable the taxes, the town/residence dont make any money, and cant upgrade, dont have stuff in the hunting gruond, wont have dividents for the members and people who have shares. There have to be taxes, wich will be going down fairly soon, to 1% or lower eventually. Taxes are needed in this game, and it isnt that much at all! believe me. It is really easy to get money in this game. Just don't start with a caner in the beginning. it is to hard, if yuo are planning to Cane, make a swordman to lvl 40 first, then restart. Or get a good recommender (me me me), anyway.
Without taxes the town;s also cant buy new building such as a market, post office and more. SO let the taxes be!

ijji is just hosting this on their server.besides this one might be funner than the other one, there could be funner events and we might actually be able to get FREE rare items instead of paying for them

The game is still open on the global version. Ijji is just making the game better accesible to the English speaking public. The language on the global version is English but broken and not easy to understand. Look at this as a re-release.
