at taste fo stuff from my Guilds Home page http://luminary.freeforums.org
Here is what you need to know and all you need to know about Spearman! The spear is the balanced close ranged weapon. It's not the fasted and not the strongest but in between. But in my opinion it's still pretty fast and strong Razz
STATS
Stats isn't a hard thing to do but people always seem to screw them up. I'm going to show you how easy it is to use a little common sense to do your own stats. I'm going to show you a good way to set your stats up to 44 but don't rely on them because once lvl 44 comes around (and it will) you wont have a clue what to do next. It takes a little common sense to check the next spears requirement and know how much str you need for next lvl Wink
Now newbs always ask me what the different stats mean and heres the answer.
STR= Strength makes your close ranged weapons and gunman stronger with attacks
AGI= Agility helps you hit more often with any weapon
WIS= Wisdom is mostly used for caners and makes caners attacks stronger. Saying this all weapons have magic though
VIT= Vitality is the amount of health you have. each 1 vitality is +4 health.
DEX= An artisan (crafter) stat used for making higher stuff and more chance.
LUCK= This is used for better chances of monster drops, better tintin dismantles and it's said to give higher chances of high/master/perfect grade while crafting.
Just so you know you may have higher stats then you actually put up. The first time I saw this I didn't put up some stats and messed up my character because I didn't know what was going on (a previous character). The reason I found later is because some things factor into you stats. Equipment, Horses, your Guild, and your Health will factor in your stats. as long as you keep the horse and equipment on you will have that extra stat points. Guilds can change the stat and your health is temporary so don't trust in those.
They just help you at the time being do filter them into your long run stats your really have problems.
Now when you look at these big Xs don't think thats because you can't use them. But I'll tell you why it's unwise to use them. Wisdom (wis) is used mostly for caners, but every weapon has a few magic powers [ALT+M - go to spear tab] but it takes a lot of books to read and a lot of lvls so by the time you can use the good ones you can probably buy a horse. The good thing about a horse is that a trained one will raise 40 wisdom (and every stat except dex and luck) when your riding it so you don't have to put anything in wisdom. This will help you become a stronger Spearman. Dex and luck are used for crafting ONLY, and it will hurt your guy greatly if you start putting stats into these two categories. The best way is to start a new account, get to lvl 30 (status reset) and make you PD with with him (a PD is a full artisan. If you have an artisan and a hunter it is a hybrid and will make your hunter and your artisan worse). But after reading 30 books you might want to start reading other things with those spare points. I suggest summon and capture skills but it's entirely up to you and how you want to spend your points.
Now after you get to lvl 44 you don't have this to go off of and you will probably think "What will I do?!". But with a little common sense it's easy to raise your stats. For your next spear look at the required str and what the min lvl requirement for that spear is. If you look at Scorpion the min lvl requirement is 60 and the min str requirement is 104. So this means by lvl 60 you need to raise your str to 105, SIMPLE AS THAT! And as for the rest of the stats agi should be higher then vit by a little bit. How I do it is If I feel I'm not hitting often then I raise my agi, if I feel my health is too low I raise my vit (I don't go by any stupid formulas, seriously it's not that hard.) Don't mistake the fact that your not hitting much by your agi right away though. The most recent spear the better because the higher it is the more it will hit.
A HUGE mistake newbs commonly make is they go- "ok, i'm going to put 1 stat in vit, agi, and 3 in str and by the time I get to lvl...." This DOESN'T help you at all! If you put 5 in one stat instead of spreading it out you will be much stronger and go a lot farther.
Spear skill lvl and YOU
Something most newbs have a hard time with at first is getting skill lvl. Books these days are getting more and more pricey (sorry, my fault. I always buy out all the cheap ones to make more books Razz ). But for spear you've got it easy! In Beginners Hunting Ground kill Pink Rabbits once you get strong enough to. They drop Spear Technique [BGN] books. You need a certain amount of spear skill to get higher spears. You can read one books every lvl. You don't only have to read books either, the more you fight with spears you can get spear exp.
1: These are spear skill made by reading books. You need to read 10 [BGN], 10 [INT], and 10 [ADV] books to read 30. It's only possible to get up to 30 with books.
2: These are spear skill made by fighting animals. When you see Spear 4(or whatever number you get) above your head after you kill a monster thats your skill exp. You can see I have a long we to go before I can lvl my spear through training Razz
3: This is the amount of books you can read (1 per lvl you gain)
4: Once you get to lvl 10, 30, or get a skill reset press this button to take down the skill you highlight (you need this if you want to be a PD).
CAUTION!!! Theres a difference between spear tech books and spear manu books. If your an artisan you can make spears but you want tech for now (tech= technique). If you screw this up you can screw you whole character up and waste a lot of money (but mostly screw your character up).
Spear books are still expensive, the best way to get INT and ADV books is really by making them. If you need them made I'm always available and usually on. I make these books all the time and not only will make them for you but if you whisper me I can give you a discount somewhat.
Spear Magic
With a horse this comes in handy. Press ALT+M to get to magic. Select the spear tab to see the spear magic you can do.
1: These are the different spells for spear depending on your stats
2: Required spear skill for that spell (it gets higher)
3: Spell info (damage, mp cost, etc.). It gets stronger the higher skill you got.
4: If you have the required stats press this or CTR+1-4 (1-4 depending on which spell) then right click on your target. I can't right now because I just recently lost my horse and I don't have the MP to do it Sad
This is where Wisdom comes in handy but as you can see the skill required it rather high and by the time you can do the good ones you will probably have a horse.
