I have been looking for a guide about this very basic question, what do you do when you get sick?

I have outlined the possible sicknesses, ways to get them, their cures, and steps to take to prevent them.

Indigestion – this happens when your Digestive System goes too far into the negatives. [ -100%?].
* Your digestive goes down when you eat bad foods (like skewers).
* Your digestive goes down when you don’t eat.
* Your digestive goes down when you eat too much.
* Health drops to 90.
Cure: Digestive Pill, All Around Medicine

Gastritis – this is a more severe case of Indigestion. If let your Indigestion go beyond 10.
* Health drops to 85
Cure: Gastritis Pill, All Around Medicine

Stomach Cancer – this is the most severe case of Indigestion. If you let your Gastritis go past 10.
* Health drops to 70
Cure: Stomach Cancer Pill, All Around Medicine

Hypertension – this happens when your Circulatory System goes into the negatives. [-100%]
*Your circulatory drops when you use magic that damages circulatory too much. [ice trap]
*Health drops to 90
Cure: Hypertension Pill, All Around Medicine

Cold – this happens when your Respiratory System goes in the negatives. [-100%]
*Your respiratory drops when you use magic that damages respiratory. [whirl pool]
*Your respiratory drops when you mine too much.
*Health drops to 90
Cure: Cold Pill, All Around Medicine

Headache – this happens when your Nervous System goes into the negatives. [-100%]
*Your Nervous System drops when you use nervous system damaging magic. [fireball]
*Your Nervous System drops when you farm too much.
*Health drops to 90
Cure: Headache Pill, All Around Medicine

You can prevent these illnesses by eating the correct foods to replenish your systems. They are:

*Digestive System: Beef Rib (+2),*edit:Kimbob (+10), Half Moon Dumpling (+1)
*Respiratory System: Starch Noodle (+5), Chicken Soup (+5), Catfish (+20), Eel BBQ (+30), *Kimbob (+20)
*Nervous System: Shabu Shabu (+5), Crucian Carp (+20), Pancake (+30), *Kimbob (+20)
*Letting your char sit/stand also replenishes your systems VERY slowly. I also think it cures some illnesses a little bit, but I don’t think it completely cures them.

It is important to stay away from these illnesses because they destroy your health. If you maintain your health at 110, you get a 10% bonus to str, agi, and vit. Otherwise, you get a penalty to str, agi, vit.
90 Health = 90% str, agi, vit or (-10%) bonus.

For the curious, you can't die from any of the illnesses in the game. However, it is a BIG pain to restore health back to 110 for stat bonus. Im not certain on some figures, but id like it to be as accurate as possible. Also, I have never had any compound illnesses so im not sure on the health penalty. Please respond, and ill update it when I can.

there are some status bars too look at if you get sick but mostly if you eat too much you get a digestive problem

no just sick(not 100%) ive never eaten that much only once or twice i got sick that way

Finally a game that has an actual use for food other than HP restoration and eye candy. I think im going to enjoy this game. It may be harder, but I like realistic games.

not realistic at all, i been having stomach cancer lvl 18 for weeks, health down to 70, and i never eat any food. Still, im fighting like nothing happen (except my stats are only 70% of normal)

If it says "I feel something stuck" it means you are about to enter a level 1 indigestion at any given moment. In order to prevent this, all you need to do is not do anything so you won't get hungry and be forced to keep eating. Also, when you are at this "I feel something stuck" state, you digestive system will keep going to the high negatives if you continue to keep doing something (e.g. attacking and manufacturing).

Leave your char in a town, don't do anything, wait till your digestive system gets to 0, and eventually your health will go back to 110 (you can see your health in the Status window, right underneath your MP)

I had the same problem before, I left my char in town and went to dinner and work on other thing. A couple of hrs later, my health went back up to 110 and all the stats went back to normal.

If you got the message "I feel like something stuck" from your char, digestive pills won't work. You can only use digestive pills when you got the message "It's indigestion."

Here's what you should do:

When you get the message "I feel like something stuck.": Don't fight or manufacture, just sit around and it'll bring your digest system back up.

When you get the message "It's indigestion.": Now you need to take the digestive pill asap, once you see this message, your char's health will drop from 110 to 109 or 108, and the stats will go down a little bit. The longer you wait, the worse it'll get, and you'll need to take more than one digestive pill to bring your char back to "I feel like something stuck." stage.

ok well i had indigestion a couple of times but cured everytime.. for some reason though.. my character wants to eat more and the saying "i feel like something stuck" appears more often. also my satisfied/fullness range is between -51 and 51.. which is supposed to be between -31 and 31. do u know how to bring it back down to the safe range?

What if it says you're too full and "feel like something stuck."

When it says you are too full and it feels like something is stuck. its because you've been eating bad food and thus made your digestive system below -20. Everytime your digestive gets -20 it will always tell you that you are feeling something stuck. Try eating a beef rib which allows your to +2 the digestive thing. And get better food besides skewers o.O

*Tips: if you are eating skewers; beef soup etc etc, eat like five and don't wait until your character says "i'm hungry". Spam the food while hunting and you'll be fine. How to remember? Well put it on the slots where it says F1, F2, F3, F4, F5 ^.^ then simply remember to press one of those keys :P

Ummm...i can't get this "Feel like something stuck" thing away from my alt...It stood there for like 2 weeks with Indigestion and nothing helps >.< I used The Indigestion pills and Stood like...for an hour?>_> Help? Should i use some Beef Ribs or Half moon dumplings? :confused2:

whats your fullness? Your digestive system goes back to 0 at a quicker rate when your fullness is closest to 0. Also make sure your fullness is not over or below the 'normal level'. You only have to take pills when in your status info it says you have indigestion.

First check your status or Alt+A and inside the box at the bottom is your condition, so depending on your condition that is why your digestive system is spazzing. Once you remove your condition, so whatever pills you need to get back to the words saying Digestive system (note sometimes it is gastric (which you need something else) and then indigestion), try to get it from slightly bad to Normal and then just sit and rest to get rid of the rest of negative attributes to that area.

"I'm not feeling so good" and my digestive system is -59 and it wont go any higher with halfmoon dumplings and the other food are to expensive. My Fullness is 200+, sometimes 300+ and it's pissin' me off. I want the digestive system to rot in hell! I'll never get normal again. This is just laaaaame!

great strategy if u got the room in your inv. hold 3 types foods. i use skewers and when it gets to -15 i start using good food like abalone cognee only does -.8 to digestive. i never stop killing or sit down it usually goes down on it's own. On rare occasions it will go up past -21 which is when i still keep killing to get hungry enough to use +digestive foods like ribs. this way u aren't stuck doing nothing when you could be killing still.

Question high lvl stuff like sickness' (e.g. past indigestion like 5 treatment required for whatever it is stomach cancer)once u fix that with stomach pills it wants like 9 for digestive pills. so if you used all round med does it also lower that too? or just lowers other symptoms that is on list of treatments required? Like headache

also to get a headache the bar needs to be around -31 through -34. those are good times to use a pancake. so not -100% like what ever he meant by that

For pancake-like things that raise status I usually use them to try to stay positive, for the awesome bonuses on magical attacks... but also so you never get sick...
