Weight vs. Max Weight

I understand that less weight allows you to move faster, but will having a higher max weight have the same effect?

Say if I have 60/100 weight, will I move faster (albeit not very noticably) with 60/102?

If this is so, it would seem advantegous to up your max weight up in things like gladiator matches where all you have is your melee weapon and your speed. Anyone have an answer on this?

I assumed so, since I seem to walk a lot faster with just a sword on vs. sword, revs, rifle and two nades.

If not can someone clarify this?

No, they're right. Weight was merely placed as a way to limit the amount of equipment that a person can wear at any time. Speed isn't affected without items that specifically state otherwise (Machine gun, Rocket launcher, Ice enchant etc).

Less weight DOES NOT allow you to move faster while playing. Having 102/102 weight will have the same effect as having 60/102 weight.

There is no diffrence. you run at the same speed with a rocket, a MG, a SMG, or a dagger.

Yeah, rocket and mg -10% speed.

But only when you have them out. If you have your sword out they will not affect speed.

The only difference in speed of sword/dagger/guns are how high you can wall run vertically.

Only MG's and RL's reduce speed and only by 10%

SIDENOTE! You can wallrun with Rkt/MG. Rallrun with something else, and switch over. (No, I didn't RECENTLY find out.)
