Well,im making this cuz i see many people having trouble to pick their weapon....
i hope this helps a little , and if it doesnt, u can just ask me in this post
well here it goes:
Close Combat:
Axe
Spear
Sword
Ranged:
Bow
Gun
And then the magic weapon,the cane....which ill not recommend you guys to start with as it is:
Expensive
Hard(If u dont have money)
ill not explain things about cane because i dont want to confuse new players with the magic system and the ciculatory system(if u wanna know about them send me a pm)
Close Combat
Well ill tell you the most basic distinction between the close combat weapons:
Axe:
Pro: Deals High Dmg Per Hit
Con:Very Slow
Personal Opinion:this is the first weapon i started with in global goonzu, and i can say that is one of the best weapons,the dmg dealt makes up for the slow speed thats why lots of people uses axe in global goonzu
Sword:
Pro:Fast Speed
Con:Low Dmg
Personal Opinion:after i reached lvl 65 in global goonzu, i decided to become an axe/sword user,and i can tell you this,it hits very FAST...anyways it misses a lot....the character get hungrier faster as the attack more time,so its one of the mots expensive melee weapon.
Spear:
Pro: Mid-Speed,Mid-Dmg
Con: Well, It Doesnt have xD
Personal Opinion:this is a very good melee weapon...anyways i dont like the mid speed mid attack thing, cuz i prefer to:
Hit More
Or Hit Faster.
thisi would be a very good weapon for people who is undecided about picking axe or sword =S.
spear its like an average weapon,with fair speed and damage,and ive heard its very good.
Range
Now we go to the ranged section:
ill put it like this
Gun/Bow Users=Hit N Run.....
this is why they r good at pvp and can kill higher lvl monsters without being killed.
they can freeze their opponents, hit,and then continue running =P.
Gun=Slow,Mid-High Dmg
Bow=Fast,Low-Mid Dmg
these r kinda like the same as the gun hits more but slower and the bow hits faster but weaker.
Personal Opinion:very good wepaons to lvl and for Pvp.anyways they will have to buy arrows and bullets

Arrow Price In Global Goonzu(Sold By Angelet)=17 Marbles
so this means every time u hit a monster, you waste 17or 20 Marbles.

Thanks for the tip. I'm going to be a mage based on several facts:
1) There's always a hard lull where levelling just seems tedious as hell. Why delay it for high levels? If what you say it true, the mage seems like a difficult class to begin with but rewarding in the end. Therefore, I'd rather experience hell the first 40-50 levels and enjoy the compliments I'll be recieving for making it that far later on.
2) You've already deterred like 90% of the people who would have wanted to become a mage. This post might bring back some, might not. I'm a person who'd rather be unique in some way or form than follow guidelines.....being a "warrior" or "archer" is so cliche that the only thing new would be the graphics and the style of playing - something that I can well assure you will become boring extremely fast. The mage class tend to be the most unique from MMORPG to MMORPG, so I believe that this will help me during the first difficult few days.
Well, there you go. xD. My 2cents.
Well the only con of starting as a mage is the cost.we all know its the strongest weapon at PvP,but i must warn you that its very very hard.
i admire you for wanting to be unique ,thats a fact,but yeah, if you play right with cane you will achieve lots of things =).

Heres what I found...
Stats
Strength: Each 5 points in strength give you +1 attack(damage).
Agility: Agility determines your hit and dodge chance (also determines your hit-rate with magic attacks!)
Wisdom: Each point in wisdom gives you 4MP. Also increases the damage of magic attacks.
Vitality: Each point in vitality gives you 4HP.
Dexterity: Increases chance of making better items when manufacturing.
Luck: Increases chance of getting better drops when hunting.
High Dmg Mage=Wis(Of Course...) And Agi

Why come to this version of the game tho?
i just wanted to start again and help people as im already bored of global goonzu and im mad about the pacthes they have released.
but the most important fact is that atleast luminary will have a game guard:
this will not allow people to multi client and getting more shares=more money.with the game guard the game will be more balanced than goonzu is right now.
i just dont understand why many of you dont want "us" to play luminary,do we really bother so much?we help and this is the feedback we receive?i really dont care what you people think about me,i just want to play the game ,have fun,and make new friends to enjoy this game at 100%.

Numerous people don't like you because it isn't exactly...fair, is it?
In all definition, you are high leveled in your games, and know the game well.
Its not exactly fair that we be pitted against those who already know the game well.
Well im just helping people with doubt in the game im not?
even if i am a "high lvl player" that doesnt mean people can insult and harass me right?or am i wrong?.
btw i just dont care who will keep harassing my threads like that at least i help 1 person.

arrows:1 bamboo+1feather+1 iron ore=200 units
bullets:1coal+1 sulfur+1copper(i think)=200 units

one thing about cane users , they really strong when they reach lvl 80+ due to their wis points and canes also adds more wis. but like gaia said it cost alot inorder to become a powerful cane user. my friend in ggoonzu ign:bongbong ... hes lvl 91 have 1k hp and he can take 3 sea boss same time and never dies... and in pvp he can take 4 people same time

i think axe is the best weapon ini the game,ad i have seen axe users pwning mages.
it really dpends the weapon u got there if its enchanted and if it its mg or pg.

OK random question 'bout weapons.. can u have 2 weapons?.. like.. be using a gun then switch to a sword and attack close range?.. or is it just the 1 weapon based upon your characters class?

Yes you can.
Its pretty common for high level gunners to have a second weapon for fighting bosses, as when the boss gets into melee range, the gun looses alot of damage.
However, if you plan on using alot of weapon magic, I would stick to 1 weapon as the skill xp would get split between them.

nope thats not the reason =P.
the reason that many people got axe/gun build is because u lvl up faster with axe,but u collect items faster with bow/gun ,so you will not lose time in chasing the monsters.
i dont recommend u to change weapons during a battle,cuz if u press alt+e(inventory) you will have to weapon slot(in the case of ranged:one for arrows/bullet and one for bow/gun) so if u want to change from bow to axe u will have to remove the arrows/bullets or the bow/gun,and that take 4 seconds approximately so you will lose a lot of time and its not convienient.

We will just have to agree to disagree then.
My gunner leveled up quite a bit faster than my axer.
Also, You can use hotkeys to swap weapons without opening any menus. You just need to put ammo in the left slot and your gun in the right.

It doesnt matter if you change from a ranged weapon to a melee or melee to ranged, if you set your ammo in the left slot, use the weapon in the right slot, and press a hotkey with a weapon in it, you will immediatly switch to that weapon and be able to use it. In fact, your character doesnt even stop attacking.
And I guess we'll see what levels up faster soon enough ;)

Too true Finalfantasy, too true.
Mages might be slow, and weak when they have to tank their own damage, but when they get going, nothing does more damage. I neve particularly like playing mage, but in a party they are highly, highly prized, cause they just stand back and deal out the hugest damage out of any class.
I hope your argument does pursuade people, cause although I don't like playing as them, I can't be without them. So please, some of you be mages? just for me?

Yes, and all you need to do to change the weapon is press the F5 slot in your inventory where your other weapon is, it changes instantly, and even continues attacking.
:idea: Please hop in global and spend the 5 minutes it takes to try it, you might like it :=p:
You dont need to open up the Equip menu at all. When you use a hotkey with a weapon in it, it swaps with the weapon in the RIGHT slot. By putting your ammo in the LEFT slot, you can switch between ranged and melee easily.
Theres no 4 seconds of anything, anywhere, as even if the server lags, your still attacking with your main weapon till it swaps. ;)
but if ur using a bow u must un-equip the arrow then equips the axe you get the point?

Well i havent read the posts before nor do intend to so heres a good idea for everyone,
what to do is become a gunman(gunman are the most powerful long range weapon with medium rate of fire, once you get two level 37 which could take you from two days to two weeks depending on your level of skill in the game, but anyways if you get to level 37 you will have accumulated 40 skill points which should all be used on the gun wielding skill you then click on the magic icon under the gunman tab and buy the freezing skill( with this skill you will be able to freeze opponents from afar and blast them with your sheer strength(points should be on agility though).
you should need to make the spell stronger because it should on be used to freeze but if you feel like you have to just buy a strong mount that has a good wisdom stat increase so yo dont have to waste your own skill points on something other than AGILITY,Strength,And Vitality!
No need for switching weapons but if after that level you want a different skill just pick a artisan skill like mining because i feel manufacturers make less money in the long run then the workers
im level 96, and level 74 in the other Goonzu English, just trust a pro!

Mage question:
To cast spells is it like the Runescape way (Need runes to cast a spell) or the NexusTK way (have mana(MP) that when it gets low you can invoke (take HP and make it MP)?
Or is it something different from them?
u need MP and cane skill to cast magic and a cane =P.
