I'm going to use a sword, I rather be quick. Plus axes just look dumb and I'm not big on spears xD.

spear and swords speed almost the same yet spear hits more and plus spear looks way better ... spear ftw

Axes are cool. I wish there was mauls though, like in Diablo.

As of the time of this post, the poll is officially at a three-way tie (5-5-5). I chose Spears, they just seems a lot more appealing to me. The sword is a bit overused in games, and the axe was just never an appealing weapon to begin with (although it doesn't seem half bad). So, yeah, spear.

Axes look like axes are supposed to. Of course the higher level ones look better.

Personally I'm not a fan of close-range weapons because in this game their just not good at PvP, which I'm mainly aimed at. But if I were to choose between these 3 I would have to say spear, you will come to notice the spears damage isn't too too average... actually can be as much as axe if you're character is built right. Which means it will have same damage as axe, with the added fast attack speed. Though hit-rate may be down a bit. Still good choice, especially for beginners!

But a cane is impossible on a first char in a new server, or it will take you long.
It is easier just as toughcookie or something said.
make a sword, lvl it to 20 to make some money, and then start a Cane =)

You claim to know so much about the game, if you did you would know Cane is not impossible as a first character. It actually might even be the easiest if you know what you're doing. You gotta know some of the finer tricks of making money, with your experience in the game.:wink:

there's a greater chance to 1 hit kill a monster with axe... dunno if there's crit strike in this game, if it does.. axe owns

There is no best weapon all a matter of opinion i use swords because I like to play fast melee characters.I like fast attack speed and high doge rate.

Axe is a good option... I played with a Axe warrior in Goonzu before, but seems that the Lance is better :)
