When Soldier Front runs it forces a proxy error. This could be effective as an anti-hacking measure, but I'm not sure so I'll assume it's a bug. When you exit Soldier Front the changes might not revert. When I had this problem, I found that I had no IP Adress and no Proxy. None of the stuff on the broadband connection details window.

When an attempt to repair is made it states that there is an error. When you put in a new patch it seemed to correct the problem somewhat, since I stopped having the problem without external assistance.

You may want to look into this.

I got this problem, when i play the game and exit it blocks my ie and firefox. Then, I have to restart the comp to get it working again. I dunno but I also get kept askinf to install the ActiveX thing everytime I am about to play it.

Yup got this, but it only closes the Internet Explorer that has ijji.com on it. The other Internet Explorer without ijji do not exit.

That's a different problem. The error on this thread is that you log in, play without any problems. When you're done you leave and open a new browser or click a link. Nothing happens. After a minute it says there's no connection. The only thing you can connect to are IM services. You have to restart to fix the problem.

This works for me too, although the actual program is still running, the icon has dissapeared for the firewall, but when I open it again, after some time it starts working again.

so if u have norton 2006 try this. Go to your internet security. open settings of interne security (firewall). Select programs. AND ALLOW ALL OF .exe files of gameguard and other sf apllications so that should secure your gaming whitout blocking internet traffic. Notify if this dont work :)

yah it really doesnt work and. The norton really crashes when yur done whit ur game. Here is some instructions: alt+ctrl+del. Select applications. Run this "ccapp.exe" an accept. this should fix ur crash but if it dont i really dont know but i know the reason: ITS THAT F*KING GAMEGUARD!!!!!!. I tried even allow all non executables on SF folder. It doesnt work either :/ so BAAD

We should know all the gammeguard routes what it installs, but its in firewalls and system. it doesnt even have an executable. Maybe it starts whit internet when u push play live. Maybe norton detects that on attack what would be already inside of your computer and closes all traffic DOWN. :(

i have this problem too. and i decided to mess around with it, and found out that on my computer a restart doesn't work. i have to turn it off and manually turn it back on (Start, shutdown. Wait. Hit power button, wait. Play again.)

Maybe they should use punkbuster instead of gameguard. And i also have the issue, sometimes it gets corrected by renewing the ip adress, re-opening norton or rebooting.

Admins plz put some notice to norton internet security users on ur site! Yesterday i couldnt reach internet at all. I spent AN HOUR to my firewall settings to get it works somehow i finally reached the internet. I unistalled the SF. This worked on my laptop.

I played SF, got booted out, then got a proxy error, but the play live button still worked!!!!
played SF again, quit, then Norton antivirus shut down, BUT the internet still works!!!

KEY: Norton Antivirus is not the same as Norton Internet Security.

1 Start Norton Internet Security or Norton Personal Firewall.
2 In the left pane, click Status & Settings.
3 In the right pane, click Security.
4 Click Turn Off. / Turn off for a certain amount of time.

When you start the game, it may cause a proxy error. <- don't know what this means, you may be asked to send error report to Microsoft etc. etc.
This shuts down Norton Internet Security ( on the bottom right ) / I can't turn it back on by reopening Norton Internet Security.

Start the game.
When you quit/get booted out, Norton Internet Security is closed.
Internet still works after the game has ended.

Pretty much. Turn off your Norton Internet Security when you play SoldierFront. Turn back on when you're done, It's better than restarting your computer.. maybe. o_O

Proxy is a type of internet port. Also, the case is that sometimes, even after Norton has closed, you still can't access the internet. Lately it's just been that Norton closes...

haha noodles U can got every kind of UDP **************** particulary if you have an new computer! I will get them every day and norton blocks them. That really doesn't solve our problem. If u really want to shut it down just close proces named "ccapp.exe" it will shutdown your entire norton and then turn windows firewall on. It will work whit that.

No when u close autoprotect it will shutdown the entire norton system.

Course when Gameguard lanches, it sends some proxies what norton sees attack. So it just cuts all traffic down to prtect itsellf and computer. Stupid bug.

If you Have Norton Internet Securety, you have to shut it down, you still get after 1/5 games an error, but internet wont shut down :thumbsup:

Well i dont have norton i have Symnatec Antivirus and Firewall.Well i know how to fix it now so i dont do it anymore but here it is.

When i open sf then close it the Symnatec Firewall icon in Icons Bar has a Question Mark and then dissapears.

So i restarted my comp and shut down the firewall and playd got out and the internet was OK!Try shutting down ure Firewall.If it doesnt help do ure Firewall and anti virus.Oh and Windows Firewall to if u havent already.

this sucks man, someone really needs to fix this. i did an internet diagnostics scan in my windows help and support center and the reason is nothing can connect to the WMI service, it crashed. I contacted microsoft and i am waiting for a reply on how to fix this. I will post this as soon as possible if i found the answer. Not everybody uses Norton and restarting the computer doesn't do SH**. there has to be a possible way to fix this problem. Ijji needs to jump in and start helping.

Another note is that this is the only game I play that has this problem. I also play GunZ and there isn't a problem. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling the game and the same occurs.

I like this game but if it's going to be this buggy with an OS that it was made for, whats the point in releasing it. Atleast get a stable game on one OS first.

I have exactly the same pop-up as 'Spitfire3292'. I strongly believe that the problem has its roots in nprotect, as mentioned before. This is because all of the games using nprotect, including Gunbound have the same problem.

It could be a clash between the wireless since I, myself am using wireless. Who else has this problem and is using wireless net?? I'm sure it's not ZoneAlarm, since I've tried completely shutting it down and running the game to find that the problem is still there.

I'm glad that I'm not the only one who has this problem and that the mods are looking into it.

My Norton tolerates it now. It doesn't act as a problem anymore. I can even run a V-scan while playing (not reccomended).

I am also getting the message "connection to server lost" soon after staring the game.
I am not using Norton but McAfee as antivirus programm and Zonealarm as firewall.
For 4 months ago I did not have this problem, but then I changed to a different internet provider.
Is that the key to this problem?

ok everyone has this problem including me. well here is a easier way then to start yur whole comp again. try pressing alt+f4 when u in the freeze game state. this will close the game. btw if u press it more than once it will close the ijji page too. well this works for me u guys can try. this may not work btw.

I kinda have a solution, after a game, don't leave the room, stay in the room that you played your game and you won't freeze. I found that out when I did it. I played multiple games just staying in 1 room the entire time. But when I leave it and go into another room, it just freeze's when the game loads :/
