Ok this is where me, and hopefully Bean will try to help everyone out.

If you use internet explorer try this: Go to tools, internet options, advanced and reset your browser to original settings. Then go back to ijji and it should prompt you to install the ijjistarter.'

Issues we are unable to currently solve...
Gameguard Auth Errors
Game/ijjistarter patching errors (if other methods already failed)
Server Disconnects (Try Bean's tips, if those don't work then we have no idea.)
notext(7504) error (It's all up to ijji for this one)

Questions and Answers
Q - Why won't it load after I select a server!
A - I've found two solutions so far, the first is just wait. I also found that my Luminary was in default window mode...I quickly solved that, go into your luminary folder (C:\ijji\ENGLISH\Luminary), and you should spot a text file that is titled 'fullscreen', open it up and the only thing in there is the number 0, erase it, type 1 and save. The game will now run in Full Mode, which seems to play faster than window.


Q - Why am I getting a connection problem almost right after I log in?
A - Seeing as both the game and server are new, plus there could still be trails of ijji's unfortunate network problems still around, you may be booted off occasionally. Don't worry, that just means too many other people were trying to connect right now. It will get better later on when most people have DLed the game and settled in the server.


Q - Why is this game taking forever to download?
A - This should be very obvious...it's a new game and there is a ton of hype about it. Not everyone downloaded before the game released, so there are still a lot of users trying to download the same file at the same time, causing slower download speeds.


Q - Why is it saying to run it from a web page?
A - It means that they want you to start the game through ijji.com. The only way you could even get this is if you went into C:\ijji\ENGLISH\Luminary and used the LuminaryRun executable. Two things, the gamer installer should put an icon on your desktop already, second, if it's not there, go to that same folder I just listed and find the Luminary executable, NOT the LuminaryRun executable. Just create a shortcut of the Luminary executable to your desktop and it should work fine.


Q - Why is the ijjistarter having problems with the download?
A - A TON of people are DLing form it, that's why. Try downloading the manual installation file, it's sometimes faster than the autopatch install from the ijjistarter.


Q - Why does the game updater's button stay gray when it's done patching?
A - Sometimes it's just a bug try restarting the game. If it keeps happening leave it and wait, see if it will change. If not, there's nothing else I can do except say to uninstall it and try downloading the manual installer.

OK Guys.. In Order to help Fix your Problems..

Let's All use This Thread to Stop Spamming EVERYWHERE =] It Would be SO MUCH better if all Problems where kept in one area.

Otherwise there is Loads of threads about the same Subjects, and Causing huge amount of SPAM! =D

If You could all Post your Luminary Connection Problems Of ALL Kinds! This means:

Slow Downloading.
GameGuard.
Disconnections.
Lag?.
Freezing.
Can't Connect.

To Name Just a Few! =]

HERE Is a List of A Few check you can do that may solve These Problems!

Check Firewall Has Allowed the Game to Access the Internet/Incomng Connetions For the Game.

If Any Other Programmes Such as: Msn, Yahoo!, etc.. Have been Conflicting with Some Processes!

If You are on Wireless, Check if Router has loose Wires, Or If you are Receiving Signal From it.

If There is a Problem With your Internet Provider, Try Using other Games/Programmes That access The Internet.

Make Sure you are Running the Game in the Webpage! 'bowon14'

More Possibilities Coming ASAP! Suggestions WELCOMED!

Yes, there have been a few suggestions for the GG problem, read again. Plus, try to make sure you are only running the game and nothing else, it sometimes messes with GG...

The Manual installer and be DLed from 6 different sites, they're shown as buttons on the top.

What options have you tried, if your reaching a last resort, Try this-:

Try, Deleting your current 'pre-launch' Download, and pressing 'Play Live' Button it will Download and Install in one go, On its own. meaning you don't have to launch it from your Desktop.

Or You Could try again in a few hours. Once Bugs etc. been sorted out.

Other Then that.. I'm all out of Idea's. Sorry!

Yes, same as every other ijji game, a closed beta and open public beta are very different... =D

As for the You Are Disconnected message, just wait a while, it will happen for a while at least, and asking you if you want to quit is automatic every time the connection D/Cs. If you say yes you quit, if no, then you get to walk around on the map you're on until you quit....nothing happens though.

Whiplash, try waiting a couple minutes see if anything changes.

Good idea actually...you should've been doing that in the first place. Anyways, it shows over 1,000 players online because a lot of people are doing the same thing we are, but the player counter is still tallying their character into the figures until the character D/C from being idle.

When you disconnect, your character stays in the server, the only way the character is removed is by either the account logging in again, or a certain amount of time passes.

Ok currently, me and Bean cannot help with the GameGuard problems...those unfortunately are out of our control. The "Please, run the game in webpage" errors is also out of our hands, ijji would have to take over for that, and the failed to connect to server issue has already been stated in the answered questions.

Jaloko I suggest taking a look at Bean's tips (2nd post in topic) for some things to check to see if it's getting blocked or interfered with.

Ok well Icy I have three thought, 1 try closing the web page... 2 try to wait a lil bit before you hit the button or 3 your comp may not meet requirements for the game(which i doubt is it..)

sorry shortman, the notext(7504) error is a programming issue, ijji has to fix it.

Check your ports if you're hooked up to a router.. this is beta so some things might have to be done manually. Simple reset of your modem can fix connection issues more times than none too. Doubt any of that helps though :P

im really curious how this works.
if something is wrong with the programming of a game, shouldn't more than a handfull of people get this same problem? you should think that there are certain variables the game cant handle or something, can't just be random.. right?

Hey Everyone.

I have just got back, and I see you all still have problems, as do I! When I get on the game.. it says 'Do you want to Exit Luminary?' and something about not being able to connect. im assuming this is firewall related? for the connection problem. But not to sure about the other problem with it attempting to exit Luminary. Must be the game's fault not any of our own.

Any Answers to this will be appreciated, and put onto original Thread Post.

I still get DC and see noone,
two or three times it loaded alot of players and then gave me the Game guard authorization error.

to fix the autorization error make a 2nd char, and play on that one!

now what I do is make this 2nd char and keep trying untill it loads everyone again, and then I hope it wont give me the Gameguard error.

Ok well that ArchKristo, that seems like a gameguard authentication error, when it asks if you want to leave, look to the left side of the screen, it will be in orange text if that's the problem.

Hackmysack, that sounds like an issue with ijji itself, could be your internet or firewall settings. I mean the firewall settings that affect browser access, not programs.

Killersockofdoom-your problem sounds more like your computer doesn't meet the requirements to run the game. It's what happens to my computer when I try to run Half-Life2 or Doom3, or even some less....demanding games.

By the way everyone, I'm also getting the GameGuard Auth error now. So I'm in the same boat as you guys for the time being!

I got an error notext 7504 also because if u open the one that says luminary in the files u get "notext". if u run playlive u get "set screen resolution to 1024/768". can someone tell me either how to set the screen resolution or get notext off????????

I had the same Problem yesterday, I started downloading.. it stayed on 5% for 45mins+ so i cancelled.. and Tried again.. left it on all night, it was fine! =]

Dun know what to say about the GameGuard thing, if anything. For everyones tips, i got them to work once and then they stopped working once i logged off. Deleating GG and redownloading GG dosent seem to effect it.
Tries
1) reinstall Luminary: WIN
2)New Character: WIN
3)Full Screen: WIN
4)Deleating GG and dl twice: FAIL
Should we keep experimenting or should we just patiently wait for Ijji staff members and the Tech crew to fix the problem?

I posted this on THE SECOND version of this thread. Just wanted it to show on both incase someone needs. First times a charm, seconds a... well you get the point.
