I can't give this game better then a 6/10. Now as compared to the rest of Ijji's games it's good, but it's only been out a day. Once the novelty wears off, lets see where it stands. I've played lots of free MMO's and this one rates just a little above Runescape. There are soooo many other free MMOs out there that are better. And lets not forget Ijji's penchant for cash shop items. How long is it gonna be before only people with cash get things like godly weapons, mounts, capes and stuff like that and the free players get nothing?

So in it's own right, this is a decent game. And if you have a low-end comp and can't run something with better graphics then this is a great game for you. But if you've got even a generic Compaq or Dell you should look into a better game.

Well.. I have to disagree I think theres not many free rpgs better than this one... Graphics dont make a game.

Nothin against you, just sayin there are plenty of much better free MMOs out there. I'm not saying graphics make a game, I actually like the 2d look. What makes a game is content, and this game is just kinda blah.

Look up anything from Gpotato, a game called AnarchyOnline, TwelveSky, Archlord, if you really like the 2d thing look up Trickster, the list goes on. There's not much about this game that's unique. As far as free MMOs go, this game could be a lot better.

But then again that depends on your style. Personally I'm more of a devoted gamer, I'll play a good 3-4 hours a night and want to get a good strong character. GoonZu is a game more for the casual 1-2 hour a day gamer who only plays for light fun.

about soldier front, i think soldier front is better, but only if im playing with frens. otherwise, there are many other better mmorpgs out there that are free. too bad i cant post here or ill probably be banned for advertising, but im sure most people know what a search engine is?

A. Bored and Stoned (a very rare occasion since when im high the fun of games is like x10 =])
B. When ummm the gunz servers are down...
C. If your finger breaks
D.If you fall in love with the disney channel :)

Its not the greatest game. Does nto have the greatest graphics. Does not have a huge economy or a huge map..etc.

I do like it, however, because of the various activities you can do...like making weapons...fighting...etc...and there are many skills.

The thing that appeals to me most is the politics that are involved in the game. too bad they arent out yet :)

WRONG WRONG WRONG WRONG!!!! ur weapons will not exspier unless they are made high grade, High grade exspiers cos it has SUPER stats more than DOUBLE the normal attack.

Not just high grade weapons will exspier tools and any other weapon/armor high grade will exsiper.

I rate this 10/10 SF sucks bad cos of lag and ppl who cry and complain when they die. If u dont like this Luminary all that much yet cos u think hmm no economy hmm not much PvP just w8 till towns and guilds open. and as far as the economy wise situation going on it just opend a few weeks its like a developing country. Graphix might be 2D but way better than runescapes 2D, the gameplay is fun lvling in the start might be easy then it gets hard(like most mmos) it has nice skills to choes from. U can make almost everything u use and need. If not get some 1 else to make it, DONT worry u can get scammed in this game if u so get scammed u must be friggin blind and stupid. Its go no hacks, and the game guard problem might be frustrating but sometimes u think u have the problem and u dont it just says it does. If u do have the problem just keep restarting the game.

Why can't people stop criticising Maplestory?

It just proves you have zero understanding about games and are nothing else than an immature teenager that doesn't have a life anyways. :dots:

(Here we go again) Maplestory is UNIQUE, it uses a 2D Mario-like gaming experience, and concentrates on online networking rather than grinding, because no matter what game you play, even if it's WoW, you always end up grinding for "Just that one epic" or something like that. Implementing the Mario idea in a MMORPG is brilliant, and anyone saying otherwise, please make sure you have some knowledge on online games before you put Maplestory down.

Ohw and one last remark, Maplestory has over 90 million players worldwide. Yes, it beats WoW by 10 times, and no not just because it's "free".

You're right, all in-game items expire, but since until level 80 and over you won't have to worry about it weapon and armor-wise (you will level faster than the items can expire), i wouldn't worry about that to much.

It is actually logical, because this keeps the game going and also prevents inflation. People will have to buy their tools, weapons and armors again and again, this keeps the demand, and therefore the profits of production, up.

If this wouldn't be the case, just grinding expensive items from monsters would become the most profitable, which would mean everyone would go do that, which would mean the prices would drop, meaning manufacturing items would become dirt-cheap, which means the few people still doing it would stop because the prices of the manufactured items drop, which would lead to a huge scarcity in manufactured goods, which would lead to an enormous prize raise, which would screw up the whole economy.

It's a long explanation, but it explains perfectly how this helps the economy of this game, and since the economy of the game is it's main purpose, it's pretty important. :o

I gave it a 7/10.
Too many bugs, I usually have to relogin 2-5 times to get pass GG error, had to make a new character after accidently selling one of McCoys materials, I wish you could click on your map to walk... I do it like a trillion times forgetting it doesn't work(I mean runescape is crap but even you can click on your map to walk), and the way Ijji runs things we probably wont have a fully operational politics system until 2+ years from now(where as we got prems before the beta ended). But overall I've been pretty addicted and the concept of politics has got me and my dorm-mates playing, but we'll probably be bored of it soon because we're in it for the politics xD
