Man, I don't know why people are now making so many different tutorials to help fix FPS lag.
Well, Imma hop into the wagon and post one too Sorry if I actually steal any ideas. Props to whoever ideas I accidently stole. Also, I am bored. I have Vista, so these tutorials are based on my computer.

Removing Junk Files:
- Remove junk and unused/broken registry files by downloading CCleaner.

- Also use SpeedUpMyPC 3, install, scan, after scan, it will ask you to input your key. Use the key below.

- Simply uninstall some programs. Start > Control Panel > Add /Remove Programs.

Defragment:
- This is what I use... Diskeeper, a fast Defragmenter [IMO] Trial.

Adjust Computer Options:
- Adjust battery option.
Start > Control Panel > Classic View > Power Options > Click on High Performance
Note: This will consume more power... I dunno how much it will affect your bills ><

- Advanced performance for your Disk Drive.
Start > Control Panel > Classic View > Device Manager > Extend 'Disk Drive' > Right click your Disk Drive > Properties > Policies > Enable Advanced Performance

Update Drivers:
- Manually update your drivers... especially your Video Card Or...

- Use this program to automatically find and download the Drivers in your computer that is Out-of-date. Download the Free Version. Called RadarSync.

Graphics:
- Switch to 16 bit graphics. This will make everything look a little bit "dull" but it gives performance.
Right Click Desktop >Display Settings > Under Colors, switch to 16 bit

- Lower the graphics settings in SoldierFront.
Resolution: Lowest (680 x 840) I think... | Smoke Effect: Off | Shadow Effect: Off |
Details: Low | 16 Bit | Bilinear... Etc. ( I can't remember, all from memory xD)

- Turn Windows Effects Off. This will make your computer look UGLY xO
Start > Control Panel > System and Performance > Performance Information and Tools > Adjust Visual Effects > Adjust for best performance > Apply, Ok

Others:
- If you have Vista, turn UAC (User Account Control) Off.
Start > Your chosen account picture/acc (Top right) > Turn User Account Control on or off > Uncheck UAC > Ok

- Turn off startup programs. This will make your computer startup faster.
Start > Type in search for msconfig > Startup > Disable All/Uncheck the ones you dont want.

- Using Task Manager to maxmize free ram.
Just before sf loading, Press... Crtl + Shift + Esc > Go to processes tab, and close the exe's such as:
-iexplorer.exe
-explorer.exe (This will close your desktop icons and stuff, to bring it back up, go to Applications > New Tasks... > type in explorer.exe)
-msnmsgr.exe
-xfire
-limewire.exe
-PurpleBean.exe-Other applications you dont need.
